WAZZZUP?

Nothing.

I feel like blogging but can't think of much to say at the moment. Things are always popping in my head and I actually keep a list of things to blog about on my phone but after reviewing it nothing sounds appealing in this moment. I guess I am just happy it is Friday and that the work week is coming to a close. Not that it has been a terrible work week. It started weird and then ended awesome. I am just pumped for the weekend and to hang out with my hubby and relax and get other stuff done.

What have we been up to?

Well, we actually we've had two friends stay with us for a bit. They were in CA for a few acting gigs. They were awesome house guests. I will blog about them later when I get my pictures off my camera. It is nice to have guests, but also nice to reclaim my space afterwards. :)

Work has been crazy and fun all at once. My company finally replaced my boss so a large weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Now it is just a matter of getting acclimated to his new ways of communication, expectations, and procedures. Which at times is fine, but other times frustrating. Transitions can be hard and I try not to let it stress me out. I have a tendency to put unnecessary pressure on myself. I have to remember to breath and when needed on my drives home from work I talk out loud to myself or Lars about why I am frustrated or stressed and am able to think things through and relax and realize that it is all a bunch of rubbish and not worth fussing over in the end. Then I feel super dooper. Geez Louise. I am getting better with processing my unnecessary stress. Life is too short to waste time on that. ANYWAY, I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with the new boss man. Let's hope all goes well. Life is good and I can't complain!

Think that's all the news of the day.
BLAHHHHH
Go see a movie and get a Ruby's shake. :)

Daddy's Girl

Today is my Father's, Steven John Stark, birthday and I wanted to dedicate this post to him.
In my younger years, I grew up thinking...no, knowing that I was a "Mama's Girl". I always wanted to be with my Mom no matter what. One time I even jumped through wet cement to get to her, another story, another time. I am a lot like my Mom. But the older I get the more I see how much of my Dad is in me. Both of my parents are awesome and being the youngest in the family means that I am the best of both my parents (sorry siblings, you all rock too, but I think my belief is true). Because my Dad has always been loving, supportive, involved, spiritual, responsible and funny I turned out pretty darn good. We have a lot more in common than I realize and there are times when my husband points out to me those attributes and habits that I share with my Dad (Don't worry they are all good things ;) and there are a lot)

I love music, Dad used to play the guitar.

I love painting and drawing, Dad is a seriously talented artist. (He is so modest about it though)

My Dad took me to see science fiction and sometimes war movies.

Dad has always been there for me in more ways I can count:

Cheering on the side lines at my softball games.

Teaching me how to play golf in our backyard.

My senior year in Michigan I was in the school musical at a time when Dad's job took him to Utah for 6 months/ So what did he do, he flew back one weekend just to see my Saturday matinée. It was not an easy trip too. He got in late Friday night and flew back to Utah Sunday night just to support me in something I loved. I only remember that performance. The whole show I tried to have smiles and gusto because I knew my Dad was in the audience.
Dad gave me the most wonderful wedding in the world.

Dad is always there to listen and to crack a joke when I need to laugh.

Definitely the more I have grown the more I have appreciated my Dad's thoughts and advice. Dad either says something really smart or cracks a really funny joke.

I am happy to be your "Daddy's Girl"

Dad you are the coolest and I hope you have a fabulous birthday. I love you!

Hey! You're as Funny as Fozzie Bear

Muppet Tuesday!!!!
A comedian friend of mine once said he decided to be a comedian from watching Fozzy Bear on the Muppets. He said to himself after an episode, I can be a comedian because I am way funnier than this bear. Thanks Fozzy for inspiring a career for this guy with all your lessons in how to be funny?

Man vs. Food

Or should I say Stephanie vs. Food

Saturday, our ward had a YW/YM silent auction/dessert auction/St. Patrick's Day dinner. Lars and I are both youth leaders so we went to show our support. I made a few loafs of lemon pound cake for the dessert auction and also bid on and won some homemade cinnamon rolls and croissants. Lars also had fun at trying to outbid the bishop on a gigantic 2-tiered chocolate cake. Let's just say we won and made a generous donation. But hey its for the youth right?

They had other entertainment and things going on. It was really fun atmosphere and probably the best auction I have ever been too.

During dinner I was asked to participate in an Irish eating contest. I asked what we were going to be eating (I wanted to make sure it wasn't an Irish Fear Factor). They said it was green jello, whipped cream, and lucky charms. Not sure why, but I thought they were going to be separate and I just had to chow down on each one. Boy was I wrong, they had everything mixed together. They gave us a big bowl and told us to have at it. The first one done wins or the person with the most consumed after 5 minutes. The bowls were big so I am glad for the 5 minute rule.

They also tried to entice us by talking up a really cool prize. I love being rewarded and get competitive when there is a prize at stake. So I went to town and put on a show in the process. It was tough because the cereal forced you to chew instead of slurping down the jello. There were a few times I almost lost it and gagged. But in the end I conquered and today's round against food went to man.
My lame but awesome prize was a blue ribbon and a bar of soap that I later tried to auction off, but no one would buy. It was still a good time.
Will this be my last eating contest, probably not. Feel free to watch the video and share any pointers on how to improve for my next competition or just watch it to laugh.
:)
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Weezer - Keep Fishin'

Happy Muppet Monday! That is right, today is Monday, not Wednesday.

The Muppets have good taste in music, especially in their taste in musical guests.
I also love Miss Piggy in this video. I think I am a lot like her, always wanting to be the star and always in love with someone and chasing them around. Yep, that's me.

Muppet Wednesday Again

SO Monday I missed Muppet Monday because of a near anxiety attack from some stuff I had to take care of. All is well and I will celebrate with this weeks Muppet Wednesday. Hopefully this won't continue to be a habit, but we will see. Muppets are fun to watch any day of the week.

The Muppet's teach us awesome made up words! Enjoy!
MANAMANA!
