Fall Ya'll

Here is a run down of how our Fall played out. It was seriously a wonderfully warm Fall. We did a lot of hiking and playing outside in the garden and the leaves. I threw in some fun bath time photos for kicks and giggles.
This was my final loot from my garden before the frost. Not to shabby for my first year.

I really love Fall.

Halloween

Halloween this year was so warm. We didn't do much around here besides decorate and dress up. LOL Roan went to my Dad's work for trick or treating and then to mine where he struck gold.

Roan was a lion & I was Cafe Rio
In the evening we attending a neighbors party and I changed my costume to an "Ice Bucket Challenge"

The loot
We went out for breakfast at Black Bear Diner on Halloween

I ran in a 5K in October and did pretty good.

Roan was a real tropper when it came to putting his make up on.
He is wearing a skeleton costume because that was our back up in case he changed his mind again about his lion costume. He changed his mind a lot and here I thought I was ahead of the game by getting his costume a month before Halloween.
Roan with some of his cousins at my Dad's work party. My nephew in the middle was President Business from The Lego Movie, it was very cute and creative.

Date Night: Ensign Peak

There was a dry spell of movies in the Fall and that is usually what Lars and I do for our date nights. So we had to get creative. We packed a dinner and hiked up Ensign Peak and watched the sunset. It was a short and easy hike and lots of fun. We were alone so it wasn't really romantic but we were happy to just enjoy each others company childfree. Afterwards we walked around City Creek and got some ice cream. Good times.

Young Women in Excellence 2015

We had our wards Young Women in Excellence in September. On this night all the girls show off what they accomplished during the year and we give out awards to the girls that finished their Personal Progress.
Our theme was It's No Mystery You're a Daughter of God
We used a lot of Murder Mystery or Clue sort of decorations and invited the guests to dress up as a suspect or civilian.
The girls displayed some of their work and then we played a mystery game where the guests had to guess which girl did what. It was a lot of fun.
The girls and our leaders
I also earned my Young Women Medallion award along with a few other girls. My Mom was able to be there too. It was awesome.

LarsnSteph Christmas Sparkle 2014

Greetings from Lars, Stephanie, & Roan,

Lars' highlight of the year was the completion and publication of his book. We are very proud of this accomplishment. Here is a link to check it out, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PM6U2IC. He has also been working hard on various home and yard improvements.

Stephanie started a new part time job in the spring at Select Health in their Print & Mail Department. She truly enjoys her job and her coworkers. Her calling as Young Women President still keeps her very very busy. In her down time she loves creating projects for her and Roan to do, like random fun photo-shoots, exercising, and freezer meal exchanges.

Roan is growing up faster and faster. He loves to ride his bike, play with his cousins, imagine with his Legos and cars, cook, and sing.

We hope this Christmas season finds you happy and healthy. This year has been full of lots of adventures, losses, growths, joys, and gratitude. Please enjoy our fun video to review all our happenings of 2014.

Have a Merry Christmas & a Jolly New Year!

Love,
The Barlow STARS :)
