Endless Wings for the History Books

Lars' old college friend, Jon, came into town (in case you haven't noticed April and May were national visit Lars and Stephanie month's :)).
We may or may not have went out to a certain place for their endless wings.
It was delicious and between the 3 of us we finished 80 wings.
The food fest didn't end there. Later that week Lars and I visited some dear friends of ours, the Reyneke's, who were taking a binge day from their diet. We wanted to make it a historical binge day. So in a course of 5 hours and in between card games we ate BBQ chicken pizza, chips, spinach strawberry salad, chocolate fondue with ALL the trimmings, homemade funnel cake, chocolate Ganache, and deep fried twinkies. It was EPIC and something I am not sure I can handle to do again. I would be lying if I said I didn't pay for it early the next morning. However, it was super fun and something that will go down in our history books.
Now that you have read this go eat a salad. I know I am. :)

Universal Studios is for Lovers

This month Lars and I went to Universal Studio's, just the two of us.
We are annual pass holders and often times when we go we take out of towner's with us, so we usually do what they want to do first. This trip was all about us. We saw everything we hadn't seen yet and things we really loved twice. I can officially say that in only three trips I have done everything at Universal Studios, but I love it so much I am up for doing it again. Our passes don't expire until the end of September so if you would like to go let us know. We get discount tickets and sometimes free tickets because we are pass holders.

UVSC (UVU) Theatre Dept. Reunion

A few Saturdays ago some old college friends came into town for something fancy (Disneyland). We met up with them and had lunch at my favorite place, Ruby's Diner. Of course we had to take pictures to document our adventure.

Ruth, Nate, Adam, Allyson, & Me
(Ruth and Nate and also Adam and Allyson met through the theatre department and got married)
so cute!

Then we went to walk around Downtown Disney and they introduced me to a new hobby, trading pins. It was fun. I really wanted to find a Princess Belle pin and when I found one but the little girl did not want to trade with me :(. After a few other trades I did however end up with a Fozzy Bear Muppet's pin which I gotta say was pretty awesome so no complaints here. Maybe soon I will obtain more pins and be able to trade and find my Princess Belle pin. :)

Muppets Stars & Stripes FOREVER!

In Law April

I feel so blessed to have the coolest in laws in the world. In April, both of Lars' sets of parents came into town. Lars' Dad, Ivan and his wife Trisha came in during the first part of them month.

Lars' Mom, Beverly and her husband Richard came during the last week of April. We had a lot of fun with both sets of parents and did a lot of neat things together. One of the neatest things we did with both sets is we took each of them to one of our California Temples. We went to the LA temple with Ivan and the Newport Beach Temple with Beverly. I love the temple, families truly are forever. I feel blessed to have the relationship I have with my in laws. I love them both very much and being apart of their families is GREAT! I can always be open around them and they love me the way I am. Hooray for cool in laws and Hooray for their visits. :)

Muppet Friday

I loved watching this show as a child. I think the theme song is so cool. It is classy, like something you would hear from Happy Days or something from the 60s, which is one of my favorite decades. Muppet Babies do make our dreams come true. :)

My #1 Fan

My #1 Fan in life has always been my Mother.
I tell people that all the time because it is so true. No matter what I am involved in or decisions I make my Mother has always been there cheering for me. She was heavily involved in every activity I participated in as a youth. From PTA, to choir committee president, to young women's, she did it all to stay involved and watch me grow. She has and will always be there for me. In my teenage phase I was kind of annoyed by this because she always wanted to know who my friends were and their parents. After I graduated from High School she chaperoned my choir during our Europe trip. I thought it was going to be lame having my Mom there. But I was so glad she came. We had a blast together and when I got burned out from certain people drama during the trip I hung out with my Mom and discovered that she is the coolest. (She always has been the coolest I am just constantly reminded of that). Since then, I have grown up and I absolutely value her interest in my life. She is my best friend. She is always there to offer her endless love, advice, shoulder to cry on, and to laugh with and sometimes at me.
I am so blessed to have her as my Mother. If I could be half the Mother she was to me then I will be the best Mom in the world, or second best. ;)
Happy Mother's Day to my Mother and to all women who offer their hearts, their compassion, and their examples. My life has been blessed by a lot of "extra" Moms.
