Merry Christmas! This year sure flew by. It was a doozy but a fun one. In between baking and impromptu family dance parties we enjoyed many visitors and various camping trips including by not limited to: Bear Lake, Flaming Gorge, Manti Canyon, and Rupert, ID, and San Francisco, Salinas, and Vallejo, CA.

Lars moved into a new coaching position at work. His company EMC, was recently purchased by Dell. This year he has enjoyed more hunting and various gun projects. Lars serves as a Sunday School teacher for the 16 year old class. He is always busy with home, yard, and family projects.

Stephanie continues to love her job at Select Health. She is serving on the Relief Society Enrichment committee. Stephanie did her first triathlon (TraithaMOM) in just under 2 hours. She also participated in various local 5Ks and kills it in Jazzercise. Stephanie cheered when we got a much needed new vacuum; it really is the little things.  The kids keep her and Lars extremely busy. When they finally go to sleep we try and watch movies together or play games while giggling about cute, and sometimes frustrating, things our kids do and say.

Roan started preschool this year. He enjoys learning letters, numbers, and songs. He loves fire trucks and policeman. He is always trying to say hello to them when they are nearby, but then again he talks to anyone at the most obscure places. J Roan loves to play with Lego’s, cars, dinosaurs, books, and all things Minions. He is a very involved and happy big brother.

The highlight of the year was Liv Joy Barlow’s birth on December 31, 2015 at 1:31 pm (Just in time for a tax break, HOORAY!) She is growing too fast and is proving to be a clever girl. She loves to smile, dance, and has the most contagious laugh. She is very resilient (thank heavens because she has a very active big brother). She loves to be involved in everything going on and when she is bored she practices various forms of trust falls. I meant it when I said she was a tough cookie. We love her so much and are overjoyed to have her apart of our family.
