Waverly Hills Adventure

A few weeks ago we went exploring in LA and Beverly Hills.

We went on a walk down Rodeo Dr. True story, while walking a tour van drove by and I was goofing off and started posing and a this guy took my picture and then gave me a thumbs up. It was pretty funny.

This tree was really cool looking.

We are Simpson's fans and the whole time we were there we were singing the Waverly Hills song from a recent Simpson's Episode, Waverly Hills 9-0-2-1-D'oh. Then we walked in a store and what song came on...Beverly Hills by Weezer. It was pretty epic.

Then we went to the temple. It was gorgeous.

They had this really cool tree there.

It was so much fun exploring the big city. We decided that we are going to be adventurous and explore something new in our wonderful city each month. So when YOU come to visit we will know all the hot spots to show you.

Angels

I went to my first Angel game. It was fun.

The staff found out it was my first game so they gave me a sticker.

We were far away from the game but we had a lot of fun with our ward members and with each other.

Golden Gate Park

We visited the botanical garden, it was big, beautiful, and peaceful.

Roses are...

While in San Francisco we did some toured some sites we have never seen before. We went to Golden Gate Park and checked out all their gardens.

San Francisco

We honeymooned in San Francisco so anytime we visit Northern California we have to go to San Francisco because it is a fabulous place.

Our favorite place to eat is Chowders at Pier 39. It is THE BEST CHOWDER EVER!!

And of course we say hello to the sea lions and wish them a Happy 20th Anniversary!

I learned that my dear cousin lives in Northern California. So of course I had to see her.

I love family reunions. She and I were close in age on my Dad's side of the family so we had to stick together and avoid getting picked on by my brothers. I hadn't seen her in years and was glad to reunite. Love you Shasta!

Shrimp is the fruit of the Sea

Lars and I took a trip up to Northern California in early July to camp and play with our friends. Since I am home sick and I am tired of sleeping and movies I put on some I Love Lucy to have some noise in the background while I catch up on some blogging. Enjoy!

After camping we went to Monterey. I sampled claim chowder from The Fish Hopper and then we went to Bubba Gump Shrimp to eat. Let me tell you it was very delicious.

Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

Elijah said got a kids meal that he later smothered in ketchup. In his kids meal he received a bowl of jello. He announced to the waitress and the entire restaurant that he would rather jump on his jello than eat it. We all got a good laugh out of that one.

He and his sister were full of those. Adrienne, his sister asked me if the Jackson 5 were from the 90's because of their hair. Ha Ha. She was a few decades off.

Elijah was making his boat crash into his face. The kid is a goof and Monterey was fun.
